"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children... to leave the world a better place... to know even one life breathed easier because you have lived... This is to have succeeded."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein." — H. Jackson Brown

and a million ways to be a good one”

"You can be wise and happy or
stupid and miserable.
It's your choice."
Gordon B. Hinckley
So grateful for my sweet friend Stacie who not only brought me beautiful tulips (and forbidden Cadbury mini eggs which I love love love) but also spent some time taking photographs of our new baby. These mean so much to us!!
This first one was taken the Sunday morning before Lyla was born. By this time I had been in labor for about 6 hours and I was telling the kids that Lyla would be here that day! (or so I thought... she had other plans!) Joselyn was so giddy and couldn't wait to meet her little sister!
The next 2 were taken in the hospital when Landen and Joselyn met Lyla for the first time!
I hate that I let Landen's birthday kind of slip by... I love my little buddy so much. He is the most loving little guy in the world- has such a big heart. And his smile will melt your heart. I spent most of this morning watching videos of him as a baby and I just can't believe it. One day he will be a man. But until then, I want to cherish every second I have cuddling this little boy and holding his hand.
I guess this has been around for a while and was big out west, but I had never seen it... so just in case you haven't seen it either and are wanting a good laugh, here you go!
It's not the hitting his head and getting hurt part that makes me laugh... it's that he totally watches Adam's every move and then copies it to a T. We couldn't (CAN'T) stop watching that video after the fact. And we laughed and laughed.
I just LOVE how Joselyn got into it in that last video... I especially loves the way she says "Rock OUT dad!" and you'll have to excuse the no clothes thing. It was right after dinner and right before PJ time. I also have to say that my husband is a total hottie of a rock star. I'm sure this is a side of Adam that NONE of you have seen! Or ever thought you would see! Yep- he's pretty fun like that.
Since I've been away missing my kids and husband, I started watching a bunch of home videos today after Adam posted one of Joselyn singing on his facebook. I realized I have never posted these next two- some of my favorites of all times.
This first one was taken after Halloween. She had found her costume and put it on all by herself. (as best as she could anyway). The dialogue that followed is hilarious.
This one was taking right before Christmas. Joselyn loved holding the baby Jesus from out Nativity set and she was always sweet to Him!!
I know this is almost 2 months late... but things have been SUPER crazy and I haven't had a chance to upload this video until today! Here is Joselyn's second Birthday video that we showed at the party (and watch over and over again at home...)
