Valentine's day was simple this year for the Noe family... mostly because I procrastinated a lot of things (and forgot others). In fact, I didn't make Valentine's Day breakfast until this morning because I thought Saturday was Friday and so didn't do any shopping for Monday morning. But that's ok because Joselyn had her Valentine's day party at school today and so it still felt ok to celebrate! I made heart shaped pancakes with pink and red sprinkles inside. The sprinkles melted into the pancakes so they looked kind of like that confetti cake. I found a great all-natural whole grain mix that was soooo delicious! We topped the pancakes with strawberries :) I tried to set the table all cute, but I'll be honest. We were in such a rush this morning and were even 20 minutes late to Joselyn's preschool! Anyway, taking pictures was kinda of rushed too, so maybe not the best but it will be fun for memory's sake.
The kids snacked on strawberries while I cooked the pancakes. I put them in cute little heart bowls :)
I had to make Joselyn's lunch Valentines Day-ey of course, so I actually did a heart shaped sandwich, cut strawberries into heart shapes and included a special Valentine note!
Here are the little Valentines that Joselyn took to school. We (mostly me) made little magnets from large glass pebbles and scrapbook paper. I forgot to take a picture of the actual magnets but I will maybe take some tomorrow. I then wrapped it in heart tissue paper, wrapped with twine and yarn and added a heart sucker!
And darn it, I forgot to take pictures of the kids in their different Valentines outfits that they wore over the weekend. Oh well...
On Monday our ward had a little Playgroup Valentine's day party for the kids. Everything was SO SO SO cute. But the gym lighting was awful and my kids were all over the place so I didn't really get a whole lot of cute pictures. :(
As for Adam and me, we kept it pretty simple too. We went to Cheddars and rushed back home when Joselyn kept on waking up with leg cramps. Still fun to spend time with my sweetie!
