How embarrassing!!

I've done a lot of embarrassing things since I've been pregnant. I've dropped numerous things, spilled food on my shirt etc etc. This tops them all... I almost missed a baby shower thrown for me! Some gals from church threw one for me and I was pretty sure it started at 1pm... well, turns at it was actually 10am and at 10:20 I get a call asking where I am. My face felt really hot... it must have been as red as a tomato when I got that call. Good thing Adam and I were getting ready to head out the door anyway and I was able to make it there by 10:30. But imagine how horrified I must have felt showing up 30 minutes late to my own shower!!! Everyone was so sweet about it though and it turned out to be so fun. I know such sweet sweet people :)

Family Shower

My mother-in-law and my two sisters-in-law (Nora and Suzanne) threw me a family baby shower today. It was a lot of fun... lots of games and lots of sweet gifts :)

This is the blanket that my mom made for the baby. So pretty and SO SO SO soft!! The other side is white. It matches the baby's room perfectly!

Adam's cousin Becky made me this beautiful bracelet. She has a  small business where she makes jewelry. She said she will replace "NOE" with the baby's name once she is born. She's like a Martha Stewart... as is her sister Cindy who made the adorable cake pictured below with real shoes for my baby girl! These are the two gals who prepare a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner every year complete with to-die-for sweet potato casserole and name cards on the plates. They really go all out. It's where I tasted the Cheesecake factory Pumpkin Cheesecake for the first time. (Now a seasonal favorite) One year they even had home-made truffles dusted with gold and butter shaped like Turkeys! I look forward to it every year. It looks like this year they will be out of town though. I'll sure miss it :) They are so much fun. Cindy also made me a beautiful blanket large enough for the whole family to cuddle in next to the fire.

Work Baby Shower

My friends Jessika and Lisa threw me a work baby shower last night. It was so much fun and Adam and I got a lot of things that we needed for our baby girl :) It was very sweet of them. Here are some highlights of the fun night!

Lisa, me and Jessika... Lisa and Jessika both had baby girls this year too. Everyone teases us there was something in the water. (and they both look GORGEOUS after just having had babies!)

It's not a REAL dirty diaper I'm looking at. (I look disgusted) This was a very silly fun game where they melt candy bars in the diaper and you have to guess which candy bar it is. I actually got all of them right!

Baby Shower

Sierra, one of my dearest friends, threw me a wonderful baby shower on Saturday. We had it at a park and the weather was really nice outside. Sunny but not too hot and not humid either... a perfect summer day. I had so much fun and saw some faces I hadn't seen in a while so it was great! Sierra put a lot of effort into making it a special day for me. Thank you so much Sierra! Here are a few pictures which her husband Blaine took for me! (Thanks Blaine!) "pin the baby on pregnant belly" game. Poor Jillian... I tricked her by pulling my hair back so she wouldn't figure out who I was by touching my head. It was funny though.
